Resumen

This paper reviews 28 papers or commentaries published in Journal of Clinical Monitoring and Computing in 2018 and 2019, within the field of respiration. Papers were published covering endotracheal tube cuff pressure monitoring, ventilation and respiratory rate monitoring, lung mechanics monitoring, gas exchange monitoring, CO2 monitoring, lung imaging, and technologies and strategies for ventilation management.

E-cigarette use has become increasingly prevalent, but there is some evidence demonstrating potential harms with frequent use. Associations between respiratory and vascular function in early childhood
The link between respiratory and vascular health is well documented in adult populations. Impaired lung function is consistently associated with thicker arteries and higher incidence of cardiovascular disease.
